The Twins are taking on the Royals for the last game of a 3 game road series...this game has my interest at a very high level for one reason, one name...Fransisco Liriano. Today he makes his first start coming back off of major elbow surgery, and he has not started a game since 2006. This could be great, or this could be bad...however, even if Liriano is only 65% of what he used to be, the Twins could still win this game. The Royals can't wait to get the Twins out of town!! The have lost the first 2 games of the series, and the Royals have YET to score a SINGLE run against them in the last 2 games. The pitching has been outstanding this series....even if it is the still not great team of the Royals.

Overall, I think that the emotions will be high for the Twins...looking to get their season started in the right direction, they will be keen to support Liriano with many runs...but it won't be easy. Brian Bannister starting for the Royals today is a little worry for me...so keep the bets small here. This game could honestly go either way...but with Liriano on the hill and a chance to sweep the Royals and gain a little momentum at their feet...I think the Twins will get it done today....Twins win today.
