Eredivisie - Excelsior v AZ Alkmaar

Excelsior Rotterdam host AZ Alkmaar.

Excelsior are in last place, but they do have the same amount of goals as VVV Venlo. When we go back to the last game of last season, this was a game to forget for AZ. They lost the championship after losing here when PSV won the title in the last 10 minutes of the season!

Exelsior will do anything to avoid relegation this season, but I have my doubts about that. They need to get one more point than VVV in the last two games of the season, with VVV having a better goal difirence and they play the last game at home against de Graafschap. Excelsior will play their last game away the Heerenveen, its not looking good for Excelsior if you look at it.

AZ want to take revanche from last season when they failed to win there first title since 1981! Coach Louis Van Gaal seems to have taken his team back on track, and hasnt forgotten about this game from last year. AZ won their last 2 games, and will be looking to make it 3 in a row against bottom club Excelsior.
