I realise that Portsmouth just played an FA Cup semi on Saturday but I fail to understand these odds on them here away to the Hammers who have been in dreadfull form over their last few matches.

The Hammers have still not released their Line up for this game at the time of writing and it appears that Ljungberg is out while Sears,Zamora,Pantsil and Mc'Cartney are all training at present,but the Hammers have been woefull over their last 6 matches recording only 1 win a draw and 4 losses and have lost to Sunderland in their most recent match away,in this 6 game period they have scored only 4 goals while conceeding 16 in their own net,there last 3 games have been a vast improvement with a draw at Everton thrown in there two games ago and a last start win at home against Blackburn,however they are safe in the middle of the table and have little to play for now really and with their injury woes they could field a far different side than we are used to seeing from the Hammers.

Portsmouth are going very well right now and in their last 6 Matches they have won 5 and lost only once two matches ago away to Spurs 2-0,they have scored 10 Goals and conceeded only 4 which is in vast contrast to the Hammers recent form,they are without Utaka (Injured)and Defoe due to Family reasons and also Baros is in doubt but they should have Lauren back into their side for today and also should have Diop,Muritari and their Captain Campbell back for todays game.

Portsmouth have a good record against West Ham in the Premiership and in their last 5 matches against them in the Premiership they have not lost to the Hammers including two wins against the Hammers on their own turf at home 1-2 and 2-4

Recent form favours Portsmouth the one thing that could put you off is their mind set after beating West Bromwich in the Semi over the weekend,but Portsmouth still have alot to play for and should win this game if they can hold true to form,they still have a very strong defence and with Lauren back they should get even better,they have looked very solid in their last 6 matches and are very strong at the back.

Portsmouth still hold hopes of getting up to 5th to snatch a place off Everton for the Uefa Cup and they cannot afford to drop points if that is their true aim as Everton are also playig very well right now.

It's never a done deal betting against the Hammers when they are at home,but they are missing a few players and have not looked to sharp in front of the Net anyway,meanwhile Portsmouth have been in great form so far this season and will look to continuie that today against a side that has'nt troubled them in recent times even when at full strength...I like Pompey here and i'll go with them to carry on their recent form and domination of West Ham...Portsmouth win for me...Good Luck.
