Tour of Flanders - Tomas Vaitkus v Erik Zabel

Tomorrow is the first of the big April Classics, the Tour des Flandres. This year you can expect quite a show, since it's predicted some rain. Everyone who follows cycling know what rain makes here in this dusty classics. Mud, crashes, punctures, you can see all that. The cyclists change with the weather, the brave appear, the situation changes. That's why i know that, even with an enormous good willing and good preview, some will fail just because of the weather.

The race is around 260 km long, full of pavé and hills. The race is not flat, so it's a race for good endurance, hilling and hard cyclists. It's a damn show.

The young Tomas Vaitkus already win a classic this year in Belgium in Ronde van het Groene Hart and make second place in Trofeo Calvia classic. Erik Zabel is too old and his best days are over! He never make good results on cobblestones classics and Tour des Flandres have too many hills for him! He is a sprinter, not a Spring classics rider!
