Manchester United take on Middlesbrough at the Riverside trying to grab another three points in their title race while the home side will be trying to keep themselves away from the relegation zone with at least one point.

Here are my reasons for this pick:

First of all, Middlesbrough are in great form at the moment. They caused many problems for Chelsea's defence last weeked and were very unlucky not to get a positive result. With Vidic out, they can pose great threat to the Reds' defence.

Second, although Boro are currently in the 13th spot, their performances in big games do no suggest that. They have beaten Arsenal at home and drew away. They have managed to draw against Liverpool at home and lost only 2-3 away. They have lost only 0-1 to Chelsea last weekend. Finally, noone can forget the heroic 4-1 victory over Manchester themselves back in 2005.

Finally, Manchester haven't managed to complete the double over Middlesbrough in the Premier League since 2000-01. Since this season's reverse fixture ended in ManYoo's favour, statistically, Boro have the better chance.

Regarding teams news, Huth is rated very doubtful due to an ankle injury but will face a late fitness test. Mido has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hernia problem and finally Jones has a wrist injury. Rochemback returns back to the squad after completing his recent suspension. On the other hand, Vidic will miss this encounter due to his knee injury. Both Saha and Fletcher are injured as well. Finally, both Silvestre and Neville return back to the squad after lengthy injury absences.

Verdict: I expect the draw here, but I wouldn't rule out the visitors' win. Accordingly, I'll play it safe and back the home team with +1 ball.
