Tomorrow is the first of the big April Classics, the Tour des Flandres. This year you can expect quite a show, since it's predicted some rain. Everyone who follows cycling know what rain makes here in this dusty classics. Mud, crashes, punctures, you can see all that. The cyclists change with the weather, the brave appear, the situation changes. That's why i know that, even with an enormous good willing and good preview, some will fail just because of the weather.

The race is around 260 km long, full of pavé and hills. The race is not flat, so it's a race for good endurance, hilling and hard cyclists. It's a damn show.

Hincapie is a veteran, he knows this race extremly well and already has several top 10's. Even that Gasparotto is in great form recently, he never made any of this North Classics. I doubt how can he deal the tactics, the rain, the mud, the attacks, the crashes... the experience may prevail here and, if not, the quality. Hincapie is very regular. Like cyclingnews.com says, "he has been knocking on the door of a major Classics victory for years, and with the renewed enthuasiasm of joining a new team, we should see him close to the front all day."
