Finally it starts! World Snooker Championship, for me one of the best event in this year. 3 weeks of great snooker. I can't wait so I'll put this bet now, a month before. :)

What to expect from this Championship? Great snooker, that's for sure. Except that, I believe this Championship will depend on O'Sullivan. If he will be in the mood for playing snooker than he is absolute favor to win this tittle. With all respect for other players, especially Maguire,Selby,Murphy,Higgins than Junhui, Day, Fu, Hendry,... when O'Sullivan is in the mood he is almost unbeatable. I can't remember when he lost a match when he was in the mood. That's the biggest problem with Ronnie, you never know if he wants to play seriously or he wants to perform for public so he takes some impossible shots. But this is the biggest event in the year and I would be very surprised if Ronnie don't take this seriously. This was very good year for Ronnie, he won UK Championship, was in the finals of London Gran Prix and Welsh Open, but what's more important he is playing great whole season.

Who can win except Ronnie?

In the first place there are Selby, Maguire and Murphy, all young,great and talented players with great season. Anyone of them can win this but as I said, if Ronnie is going to be focused and patient, of course I do not doubt in his cue power,control of white and potting, he will win.

Who else?

There are Higgins, Junhui, Day, Fu, Carter. Higgins played good this year, but he was very unfortunate. I saw couple of his matches this year and in none of them he didn't play bad. But still, he won Champs last year and I do not believe he can repeat that this year. Junhui is big talent, but he is still young and not consistent this year, so I do not believe he will manage. Day is great player, I really like the way he is playing, he has everything to become great player, but I still don't believe that he can perform 3 weeks in a row at the highest level, he needs more experience and one or two other tittles. Fu and Carter can surprise but they are still not on the level that is necessary to become a World Champion.

This are potential winners of World Championship, other players are or not good enough or in poor form like Hendry, Stevens, Ebdon, Doherty and Dott. They can win, but that would be big surprise.

However, I believe this Champs will depend on Ronnie, if he will be in the mood he will win. Hopefully,he will be.
