Manchester City Chelsea
Chelsea are going with a view in mind to put pressure on Manchester United who play 24 hours later. With a substandard performance in mid-week against Fenerbache, they will need to score this week to try and win.
In the reverse fixture, Chelsea won the game 6-0 when Chelsea were not in good form and Manchester City was third in the league. Anelka will probably start this game with Kalou as Drogba would be rested for the Champions League fixture.
In the last 5 meetings between the 2 sides, Chelsea have won all 5 meetings. With Manchester City being a particularly defensive minded side, Chelsea will look to take the party to them. Ballack, Malouda and Cole will probably play this game,
Manchester City have lost and drawn their last 2 games, and with the indifferent form they are in, there should be no other possible result other than a Chelsea win.
Bettors must be reminded of the fabulous game they played against Arsenal where they put a little less than full strength side out and then from 1-0 down, with a few substitutions, they picked up a 2-1 victory.
The only reason I take a 5/10 stakes instead of 7/10 or 8/10, because at the end of the day, Chelsea have one eye on the Champions League reverse fixture.
