CSKa was the biggest favorite for winning this season’s Euroleague, but now they are finding themselves in very tough position. They lost from Olympiakos in Moscow and now they have to beat them in Pireus from where only few teams can say that they took a victory from there.

CSKA is without a doubt the best team in this competition and alongside with Panathinakios the biggest favorites for winning the league, but very strange things happen so far. CSKA’s dream team composed with Holden, Papaloukas, Langdon, Zizis, Smodis, Siskauskas, Goree, Khryapa…that is one great roster and I believe that their quality, their experience and great tactics by Messina will hold on the home court pressure.

Papaloukas is ex-Olympiakos player and the fans are still angry on him because he left the club for bigger salary and he will have tough time tonight in Athens. But, he is great player and one of the best mentally prepared players and I do not think that he will fail under the pressure. Also big advantage of CSKA are their Greek national team players, Zizis and Papaloukas who knows Olympiakos coach very well.

Olympiakos depends a lot from their American players, first and foremost, Greer and Woods. Also Vasilopopulos is filling forward position very well. Macijauskas is still not ready for full match and I do not expect him to have more than 10-15 minutes tonight too.

As I contacted with many people, basketball experts they are expecting over 142 points, but I do believe that we will see very slow and careful match, without rushed shots and tactically superior battle.

Although Olympiakos will have home court as their main advantage, I believe that CSKA has plenty of great players who are capable of not failing under pressure from crowd and knowing that CSKA has great coach and better players on every position, I believe that tonight won’t be the last CSKA match in this season in Euroleague.
