Jazz are 6th in the standings right now, and they have to fight for their home advantage in the playoffs, as this is their main weapon as far as i am concerned. They have to win this game, as their schedule in these last games is insane: home games against Timberwolves, Spurs, Nuggets and Rockets and away at Hornets, Mavericks and Spurs. I don't think they can win any of their away games, but at home is where they are really strong and they can win them all. The first one should be tonight.
Jazz have 4 wins in their last 5. But their opponents were rather weak. They surprisingly lost in Minneapolis a few days ago 103-110, but the Jazz were without Okur, Brewer and Kirilenko, and playing away, so it was understandable. Moreover, the Jazz lost another game against Minnesota away 100-111. But at home they won mid-season 105-76. No doubt at home they can do it again in the same manner. In their last game against the Wizards, i did not take them, as there were inconclusive information regarding Okur's presence. He played and the Jazz destroyed the Wizards 129-87. Tonight, they are hungry for revenge, and despite the fact that Kirilenko will not play, Okur will and Brewer is questionable, but will most likely play, as his stomach virus should have been cleared by now.
The Timberwolves played last night at home against the Pistons. I took them to cover as i had read the Pistons will be playing the bench. And that's what they did exactly. Hamilton, Wallace or Billups did not enter the game, and the Pistons only used they McDyess and Prince form the main men. The Pistons were down by 15 points at some point, but the reserves warmed-up and managed to win by 4 in the end. It is shameful to be defeated by a reserve team, with players like Stuckey, Hermann, Dixon or Affalo...WHO ARE THEM? Should be a big disappointment for the Timberwolves. But now they will be traveling to a hungry team for revenge, and i can only see a blowout tonight, by at least 25 points. Wolves are also b2b, and with the Jazz almost in full-lineup, the 16 should be easy to cover. Good luck.
