Atlanta Hawks host the NY Knicks this evening.

Hawks are 8th in the Eastern Conference, but the fight is hard for that spot and they can't afford any mistakes against a team such as the Knicks. But the spread of 12 points is rather big for my perception of this game, so i would rather take the Knicks to score less than 96 points for the following reasons:

Hawks' conceded 96 or less in 5 of their last 6 home games:

97-94 vs Heat

75-83 vs Rockets

117-93 vs Clippers

98-90 vs Magic

115-96 vs Bucks

106-103 vs Bulls

The last game was strange because the Hawks had a huge 20-point lead mid-game, but then relaxed and stopped playing good defense and almost lost the game. They won't make the same mistake today for sure.

The Knicks scored less than 96 in their last 8 of their last 9 away games:

84-124 vs 76ers

92-115 vs Raptors

93-99 vs Hawks

92-118 vs Magic

79-108 vs Mavericks

91-88 vs Heat

98-110 vs Pacers

93-114 vs Timberwolves

95-103 vs Raptors

The only time they scored more was against the fast-paced Pacers. Tonight they will be without 4 of their 5 top scorers, Curry, Marbury, Randolph and Robinson. Even though Crawford has been playing excellent, without the help of the teammates, his team cannot do anything special.

So i will back the Knicks to under-perform again and score 96 points or less. Good luck.
