For this season the team deal their leader striker FW Carlos Ruiz to LA Galaxy for cash and draft option. It is consider to be a great blow for FC Dallas offensive, and in other to counterattack that the team brought 19 years old brazilian FW Ricardinho, but will not be able to start this match because of injury. Kenny Cooper will lead and will be pair either with FW Abe Thompson or FW Dominic Oduro, the last one have given good sensation on last season.

But if that wasn't enough, for this match DF Drew Moor is suspended, and DF Duilio Davino is doubtfoul and he is an important reinforcement in FC Dallas defense, which last season was one of the worst. After their debut season on the league, the team have evolve and have become a contendant. Last season accomplished the second-best record in MLS.

GK Brad Guzan transfer to Aston Villa was stopped due to problems into obtaining a work permit for Great Britan, so Brad had to stayed with the team and this means security is back on the defense, as Brad Guzan was one of the top three GK of MLS last season. And altought a light injury he is expected to be ready for this match.

The only problem for the team is that DF Alex Zotica could miss the whole season, as appears to have a long term injury. Togethere with possible absence of DF Claudio Suarez that left for Mexico due to personal reasons.

Something to remark of Chivas USA executives is they mantain the group an add players to strengthen the team as with Swiss MF Raphael Wicky and with FW Alecko Eskandarian. The FW addition is justified as last season when in playoffs injuries to FW Mikel Galindo and FW Ante Razov left the team with almost no goal power.

Chivas USA have goal power with FW Mikel Galindo, and FW Ante Razov. And in the team have gain importance MF Sacha Kljestan and DF Jonathan Bornstein, the later one even with NT callups.

I expect a tight match with FC Dallas taking care primarly of their worst feature last season as was defense, but the many absences have force them to make changes and the understanding between each other could take time to appear. Meanwhile Chivas USA has mantain the same group and for this match is almost complete, so I expected them to have the iniciative.

Prediction:

I expect Chivas USA to claim a nice result on away, with plenty offensive power with FW Galindo and Razov, and with lot of securty in the backzone they will give a nice match.
