The Detroit Pistons host the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.

Pistons are 2nd in the Eastern Conference, 5 1/2 games behind the leaders Celtics, and it seems this is where they will finish the regular season, as i doubt Magic can recover 5 games and it is unreal to even think Celtics can lose 6 of last 10 looking at their schedule. The Pistons have won 5 in a row at home, 4 of them against strong teams like Spurs, Hornets, Nuggets and Suns. They beat the Heat 85-69 in their last home game, but in their last games away their offense has been quite poor, being held under 85 points in 4 of their last 5 away.

Cleveland Cavaliers are on 4th place, 3 games ahead of 5th placed team. They have lost their last 2 games, and overall have 5 defeats in a row away. But you never know with these Cavaliers when they will perform good or bad. There should be some motivation to keep at least the 4th spot and have a home advantage in the first playoff series, but lately away they have been under-performing, even losing to the Bucks by 10 points in the last game.

The teams met two times this season: Pistons won at home 109-74 in the middle of the season, but that was the game when LeBron James got injured before the half time, and after that moment the game became unbalanced and Pistons shot almost 60% and won by that huge spread. The Cavaliers won at home 89-73 in the second game, Pistons shooting under 40% and Lebron having 30 points. Tonight, Hamilton will be most likely missing for the Pistons and he is the top scorer for them, while on the Cavaliers side second rebounder Wallace will still be out, along with fourth scorer Gibson. This is why i fear taking the Pistons here to win, and i would rather go for the under, as i expect the teams to have a total of maximum 175 points tonight. They don't have anything special to prove, and will only be looking to trail until the playoffs without injuries. Good luck.
