Portsmouth v Wigan. Why do I have the feeling Pompey are gonna have easy life when they play Wigan today? The price looks fair and square at the first sight, but the fact I rate Pompey a LOT better makes me take the bet, and even wonder how comes they don't get -0.75 at least against a poor side on the road like Wigan.

Wigan are a tricky side. They look like shining, and suddenly lose 3-1 to Blackburn having one more player on the pitch for 80 minutes almost. The truth is: Wigan are shaky on the road. If they are going to stay in EPL for one more season then their home ground is the only thing that might save them. It's a fact they have an awful pitch and most of the teams have problems playing there, the scoreless draw with Arsenal is a live example of that. They've been struggling big time on the road instead, and I don't see why something would change against Portsmouth. Pompey have the right tactic to beat a side like Wigan, they play well possesionally and are good on counters of late too (cause of Defoe), and the Latics are not exactly the side who can safely withstand. They'll lose the middle that's 100% sure, and sooner or later the ball will come in. As I don't see them great on counters I have the feeling they're gonna die by their own hand in their own half.

Hermann Hreidarsson (def/reg) is doubt for hosts, Michael Brown (mid/reg) and Jason Koumas (mid/reg) are out for Wigan instead.
