Cork, team that was held as Top4 material, is still without a win. Three points collected in three rounds, but with decent performance against good opponents. Only first draw against Bray could be rated as big surprise, away draw with Shamrock is fair result, while in last round in 1:1 draw vs Derry they lacked luck for better result. They were leading from 23rd min to the 94th min, when Derry literally scored in last attack of the match. Cork had their chances before, to extend their lead but couldn't converted them. It came as a disappointment for them, but i can't see their bad luck going forever. In Setanta Cup they also had some noticable results beating N. Irish side Dungannon 2:0 and drawing with Drogheda 0:0. They are team for the top of the table and their win is about to happen. For this match they will have Farrely back from injury, so only Woods is out.

Cobh are their "younger brother". Team newly promoted to Premier League, and on of the relegation candidates. So far they've picked a point, at home versus Galway. Their away games versus Finn Harps (1:2) and Drogheda (0:3) were clear loses, and in mid week they've had a shocking 0:1 loss in Cup against First Division side Wexford. They had to play full 120 mins as after regular time it was a goalless draw. This is their first PL season in last 13 years, and this match will be local derby. They don't have any new reported injuries.

This is local derby and game is sold out, something you don't see everyday in Ireland. Despite that fact, Cork is better side here, they have more squad depth and quality, and will be cheered for by a large number of fans as Cobh is only 15 km from Cork. Atmosphere should be friendly as most of supporters are fans of both teams. Mid week Cup match with Wexford, and ET should have left some tiredness in Cobh squad, but i don't think it will be crucial. Cork needs win finally to boost their title hopes and i think they will get it. Cobh is probably the weakest team they've met so far (in the rank of Bray, but they won't defend for whole match). I can see Cobh struggling to score against Cork strong defense, while Cork should be able to score one or two.
