Gretna are finishing bottom of the league no matter what, and St Mirren cannot make the top six before the split, nor can they get relegated. This is a near meaningless fixture apart from pride. | |

Gretna have been a great club to follow, and came to my attention when the great doctor Deuchar banged in many goals a few years ago to propel them to prominence. They surpassed even their expectations a couple of years back when they reached the Scottsh FA cup final and only narrowly got done by Hearts ( lordburt will remember it well as he tipped them up at 50/1.....of which of course I didn't back with any money !! )
However times change and with a massive exodus of players, they are left with bare bones of a side, and will be calling on reserve and youth players just to make numbers up. St Mirren will win this game easily, as will all teams who play Gretna until the season end. St Mirren haven't been too bad of late gaining 8 points from a possible 15, but it's not so much their form, as against the unknown quantity of players available for Gretna. I will be having a maximum bet at around 1/3 and that is why I'm tipping it up as one on here.
