Snooker Tournament - Mark Selby v Marco Fu Snooker betting preview

Since betting on snooker sometimes can't be very profitable, because you never know how does the player feel that day :D. It seems kinda funny but its true. Let's take for example today O'Sullivan. He was a big favorite today, and he was expected to win easily since Fu had problems in the wild card round. But guess what, he didn't feel like playing for real, instead of safeties the played impossible shots, and of course lost. Because of that I would like to try something tomorrow. I'll make some kind of a "system" ticket. Since 5:3 is the most common result in best of nine frames, I'll bet on each my favorite to win 5:3. The odds are very nice, all > 5.00 so if I win one of five I will get my stake back.

So here is my first pick.

A match between Mark Selby and Marco Fu.

The Jester from Leicester, Mark Selby is my favorite player right now, he is 25 years old, turned pro at the age of 16. But he didn't have any greater results until last few seasons. He recently won Ronnie O'Sullivan in stunning match on Welsh Open, when he was down to 5:8, he managed to win 9:8. He really is a superb player, with a great potential and has a long way ahead.

On the other hand we have Marco Fu, bit older than Selby, also very decent player, very calm, played a great match today against O'Sullivan. In the wild card round he had a problem with a young Chinese who was playing his first pro tour, but today he showed his real face.

I expect this to be a tight match, probably 2:2 at the interval. But I'm sure that Selby will win this one, hopefully 5:3.
