Cleveland Cavaliers host the NO Hornets tonight.

Cavaliers are 4th in the Eastern Conference, and they need only one more win to be mathematically qualified to the playoffs. Of course they will play serious in the last games, as the higher they are at the end, the weaker the playoff opponent will be. But still, they have lost 4 of their last 7 games, including here a 10-point defeat against the Bucks in their last game. Still, at home they are on a 9-game winning streak, including victories against Pistons and Raptors, the rest of the teams being lower table ones. This is why the odds are in their favor, but i believe that the motivation is not on their side tonight.

NO Hornets are 1st in the Western Conference, but still only 5 1/2 games above the line. Since they will play 9 of their last 13 away, they need to get some victories. Even though away from home they've only won 2 of last 5, the Hornets still are the second best away team in the league. Hornets are on a 4-game winning streak right now, defeating the Bulls, Rockets, Celtics and Pacers, not forgetting the wins against Spurs and Lakers previously. A solid team that will certainly perform very well in a h2h series this season.

Chris Paul and David West are really in-form right now, and Bonzi Wells is having some excellent performances from the bench. On the other side, Lebron James is the best right now, but if Iglauskas doesn't perform well, the team just doesn't act well. Bad news for the Cavaliers is that B. Wallace, an important rebounder for the team, will be missing; considering Gibson is still sidelines, i would say Cleveland is going to have a difficult night.

The Hornets have won the first match at home 86-76. David West had 27 points and 15 rebounds in that game, while LeBron James only had 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

Tonight, considering Wallace will be out, i expect the Hornets to rebound more than in the first game (Cavs had 9 more rebounds), and with West in such a good form and Paul directing the attacks, i believe that James one-man-show will not be enough for the Cavaliers. So i will risk medium stakes on the Hornets win. Good luck.
