Taking this one early, as i believe the spread will go up to 10 later, and this -8 looks quite good at the moment. Atlanta Hawks host the Milwaukee Bucks.

Hawks are a decent home team, while Bucks are 4th from the bottom when playing away. The Hawks stand on 8th place in the Eastern Conference, but 3 other teams, Nets, Pacers and Bulls are within a 2-game margin and all want that last spot in the playoff. So the Hawks have to win against weaker teams, or they will lose it. Hawks 3 of their last 5, even though 4 of them were played away. They lost to playoff contender Nets away, and then to Bulls away, which is not so good in their current situation, but tonight they will play at home, where they even defeated Orlando 4 days ago, and against a team as weak as the Bucks away from home, the hosts shouldn't have any problem winning by DD tonight. Joe Johnson has started playing well again, and Mike Bibby seems to have integrated in the group.

The Bucks on the other hand, are 13th in the East, 5 1/2 games behind the Hawks and with no realistic hopes for playoffs, since only 13 games are to be played. The Bucks have lost 10 of their last 12 games. Moreover, away from home, they have lost 6 in a row by an average of 14.5 points, and 13 of the last 14 away. To top it, they've lost by 5 points against the injury decimated Heat 2 days ago, and this certainly will not be good for their morale. Redd, Williams and Bogut still play quite well, but the rest of the starters, Villanueva and Mason, and the bench players, are playing at a very low standard.

The Hawks are surely motivated tonight and they have the home advantage against a team that has huge problems away. The line already grew from 6.5 to 8, so i am taking this early as i expect it to go up even more. Good luck.
