Portland are 10th in the Western Conference, 6 1/2 games behind last playoff spot and with no real chances of making it through this season. Their form i would say is very bad, as their last 5 games show:

Defeating the Timberwolves at home and the injury-full Clippers twice is something anyone can do, while in the more balanced game against Seattle they have shown their weakness. Let's not even bring in question the game against the Suns at home where they never stood a chance. As i have said before, better luck next season when great player Oden recovers from that injury. Brandon Roy hasn't been doing too good recently, while second scorer Aldridge has been the heart of the team lately. But Aldridge sprained his right ankle in their last game, and even though the X-Ray was negative, he is doubtful for tonight. Even if he plays he will get limited minutes, and in his absence, Wizards' Jamison could get a big game tonight.

Wizards are 5th in the standings at the moment, but the interest in the Eastern Conference for them is not falling to that 7-th place where they would meet the Pistons. Bad news for them is that G. Arenas will not be returning for another week, but still, with Butler back in shape, Wizards have been doing quite good recently, winning 7 of their last 10. They have 3 wins in a row right now, against Magic, Heat and Pistons, which proves that they are going well right now. Jamison is in a very good form, averaging about 27 points and 10 rebounds in his last 5 games, while Butler has been doing his share scoring and assisting.

The Wizards won 109-90 in the first game in Washington, while tonight, i believe they could win it in normal circumstances. If Aldridge will be sidelined, there can be only one winner tonight, and since Portland's motivation has disappeared, Wizards are strong favorites here. Good luck.
