Marseille

Knocked out from Europe competitions and also from Coupe de France.The last one produced big rumours because their opponent was Carquefou (0-1), club de... CFA 2 (!).Who said that they were not interested in this Cup doesn't know more about soccer (true...on the field don't was the first eleven but this show once again that Oly underestimated his much lower partner).

The Cup was a good posibility to achieve a trophy and to play in UEFA,even if there is qualified the big gun Lyon.They just underestimated their opponent and the altercation between coach Eric Gerets and his player Karim Ziani on that game show how tensioned were the things.

Marseille changed their home ground in an impressive fortress were not too much teams escaped without defeat(3 draws and two defeats-Nice 0-2 and Toulouse 1-2 both at the start of championsip).

8 wins in a row here this remain a good performance,with 5 from them with more than one goal difference( a 6-1 with Caen included here)....

Sochaux

They played with just three days ago the Cup game with Lyon and were close to take the game in extra with Traore scoring for 1-1 in '89..but K. Benzema scored his second goal on that game for Lyon just after one minute.We will see how will fizical and psihical resist them now to play at a same good level like usual they are doing away from home.

The team is in danger of relegation and looking at their home-away record one thing is for sure strange: almost the worst team from League at home with just to wins and six draws,Sochaux remain a power when they play away,on third place after Lyon and Bordeaux with 5 5 5 17:17 line.

They must start to get more from the home games but probably with their defensive style will get harder week by week.

Concluding...this will be for sure a very interesting game,to see how will react Marseille at home ground,now when they have just a single worries...to fight for third place who will send them in Champions League..right now after that knocking out from the Cup and right against one of the best away teams.

After me..Marseille should win this and i would give them more than 50 percents just because Sochaux played in full squad a hard and tied game away at Lyon.

More safest but off course at lowered odd remain the over 1.5 goals..
