WTA - Lindsay Davenport vs Jelena Jankovic Tennis betting preview

In around 2 hours 'big dave' takes on J.J for a place in the semi finals in Indian Wells.

My bet tonight is one that see me very well in the Australian open this year. Perming the opening set correct score. Its a risky bet but can be very rewarding if it pays off.

Im Backing Davenport to win the opening set either 6-0 6-1 6-2 or 6-3 @ 2pts each for a total of 8 units staked. During the Aussie open i did these bet in permed trebles and think the bookies got it very wrong!!! a 33/1 16/1 and 8/1 treble and a simliar one the previous netted me 4.5k for total stakes of less that £20. After that the bookies cottoned on and the odds on offer crashed large style, it now makes this bet difficult to find value.

Earlier Ivanovic played Zvonareva and won the opener 6-1 @ about 12s 6-0 was 40s and she did infact lead 5-0 at one stage, so some juicy prices can be found.

As i said above, the prices have been vastly reduced in the one sided matches but in the (on paper) tight matches are still about. Womens tennis as we know can involved several breaks of serve and easy opening set wins arent a complete shock.....see earlier game for details.

I like 'big dave' and she is now starting to play good tennis after her lay off and already has a tour win under her belt this season. Jankovic is favourite for this one but i fancy Davenport to upset the odds here.

Im not encouraging anyone to jump into this bet with 'big boots' more to observe it, After all it could well crash and burn very early, its more a case of just making people aware of it.

Now obviously i need Davenport to win the 1st set for it to stand any chance but if she does then we have a chance of a profit, Much the same odds are available on Jankovic if you fancy the reverse.

Davenport 6-0 @ 67.0 for 2pts

Davenport 6-1 @ 23.0 for 2pts

Davenport 6-2 @ 12.0 for 2pts

Davenport 6-3 @ 8.0 for 2pts

this type of bet comes in more often than some might think and is well worth keeping an eye on, dont dismiss it out of hand if its miles away tonight, its a bet ive found quite alot of success over the last few months.....if i can pick the right matches!!!!!
