AEK has very little hope to come on top again but with 6 games remaining they have to prove they have got what it takes against a team that they could face again for the play-offs. Second position leads to the qualifying round for the CHL so still everything is -not- lost for AEK.

The team managed to perform again after Ferrer was sacked winning 1-4 but not as convincingly as the score suggests. Aris comes also from a win, but at home against relegation runners Levadeiakos. In this game Aris will have two huge absentees Nacho Garcia & Koke. Both of them super influential for Aris midfield and attacking lines respectively.

I want to mention that especially for Koke, Bajevic (Aris's coach) decided that he is better for him to miss this away game vs AEK due to suspension. This indicates that a defeat will be not treated as total disaster for the Thessaloniki's team. Besides there is no such striker quality like Koke's in Aris squad.

This of course does not mean that the visitors will loose this hands down. I am pretty sure they will give AEK a hard time. Aris plan will be to get through the first half without conceding a goal & from there try to win it in a counterattack.

AEK are in good condition and are likely to go into this game with the same kind of plan they face OFI last week. Training has shown that probably Blanco will start at the front while having Kalon and Endinho (or Cezar) on the sides. An interesting thing is that Lyberopoylos has not played at all in the last game and I reckon he may make his mark on this one. He is the man of the last minute so maybe he can give AEK a solution from the bench if needed. Except Aruabarena & Dellas, Kostenoglou (AEK's coach) will have a good selection from a full squad waiting for a chance to prove themselves.

I clearly believe AEK will win this one and the next one vs Kalamaria although both of them are quite hard games. Then it is the huge Athenian derby vs Olympiakos. Players know that they have to take these 6 points if they want to stay in AEK next season too. I reckon easy or not AEK is going to prevail in the end and maybe they can go over that 1 goal margin to give me something more for this bet.
