I don't bet too often on underdogs in handicaps but I hope Maria won't change her habits and also in this tour won't start with total domination of her rival. I agree that probably Maria is currently player in WTA in best performance and I won't be surprised if she will win this tournament. She didn't loss in this season and captured 2 titles (Grand Slam and Quatar Open). She is very close to rank 3 and with weak appearance of Svietla Kuznietsova and Jelena Jankovic she can move closer to Ivanovic and Henin. Why I'm telling that? Because if she is aiming for this tittle she need to save her strength. That means she won't start to kill every ball on her field but I predict calm and cold game on serve and breaks when her opponents will give some chance to do that, rather than making such chances by her self. Also as I remember in past tours (long and big tours) in first rounds Maria always was catching the game. Let's on excellent for her AO. 6:4, 6:3 result with Kostanic-Tosic which was the highest number of games lost in this tour for Maria. In Quatar Open 3 set battle in first round against Voskoboeva. Also in Madrid championships in first match she was a little bit slower that she was in next tour phases. Only in US Open in first round she demolished Vinci, with 6:1, 6:0 result but we all know how this tour ended for Maria. Sadly. Cohen Aloro isn't very hard opponent but I hope she will survive few games against Maria. Yesterday she easily beat Osterloh with 6:1, 6:2 result and also in past tours she wasn't losing to easy. 4:6, 3:6 against Dementieva or one set win with Golovin. On hard she looks good and posses fighting spirit. I hope she won't freak out and will try to hit Maria few times. Handicap line is too high for me to say that Maria will cover that, so I'll try to predict that French girl will hol her serve few times in a match... Good Luck!
