Everton has been playing some great games in the Premier League. Tonight they face Fiorentina who in my opinion are going through a bad phase. Fiorentina has some important missings, the most important being Mutu. We all know how important Mutu is for Fiorentina and their firepower upfront is significantly limited for tonights game.

The injuries for both teams are the following:

Everton: James Vaughan, Nuno Valente, Leon Osman, and Manuel Fernandes.

Fiorentina: Adrian Mutu!, Fabio Liverani, Franco Semioli and Papa Waigo.

If we look at the home record of Fiorentina, we will see that they have only lost from Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United. Taking into consideration that we have 4 English teams in the Champions League at the moment, we can safely assume at least this year, the British Premiership is more competitive. It will be safe to assume that Fiorentina will go through to the next round, but I doubt that they will leave with anything tonight. Furthermore, Fiorentina is in danger of losing their Champions League spot in Serie A and I really don't think that they will go out and play 100% tonight.

Medium high stakes for Everton tonight. I really like Fiorentina and I support them, but as an objective gambler I am going against them.
