4 days ago Basingstoke Town released three players, Jamie Whisken, Chris Tardif and Robbie Watkins by the Board of Directors. They won´t be replaced, BT is in big financial troubles. Surey and Bristow are still injured, there is no available first team goalkeeper, Linda Murfitt, the Director/Company Secretary has also resigned, as she didn´t agree with the decisions of the BOD. Francis Vines, the team manager will leave at the end of the season, too (I bet he will do it earlier).

And the bookies give odds about Evens for Basingstoke to win, this got to be punished. They lost a couple of days ago in Cambridge (an average team) 0:3, they were lucky to concede just 3 goals. A month ago they have conceded 11 goals against the Top-5-teams Fisher and Eastbourne. Now they are depleted and demotivated.

On the other side the opponent is the worst home team with a really bad record, 1-4-11 10:31(-21), but they got a big motivation-boost with a 3-0 away win over Weston, I have no doubt about the fighting spirit of St. Albans, I hope this should be enough against the desolate Towns.

My odds is about 2,20 for St. Albans, I would say 3-1, 3-2 win, under normal circumstances a 4/10 bet, because of value I take 7/10.
