ooh! check out mr long odds all of a sudden! seriously tho, i think this (or if not 1-1) is probably a good shout. Rangers strength in Europe has been their defence, Bremen are a bit inpredictable,but will fancy their chances in their own home-leg. I like betting on the UEFA Cup, but i dont think there are that many easy calls tonight. IMO all the ties could go 2 or 3 different ways. A speculative punt on Zenit to win 1-0 away to Marseille might not be a bad one. | |

a mere leg-pull good sir. perhaps i should go and cook,i'm trying to force myself to bet on something here. the chap in the racing post tipped Everton to win away at Fiorentina - he knows more than i do and it'd make the game more exciting, but cant force myself to follow it. i suppose i could always watch and will Rangers on to drawing 0-0 instead. | |

I came up trumps with a decent priced winner last night and tonight im going to have a small wager on another pick that just might be over priced.
Rangers host Werder Bremen tonight and i can see a tight match, 1st legs can be cagey affairs and with 2 keys points to look at.
1. Rangers will be hoping for a clean sheet.
2. Bremen wont want to lose the away leg.
Obvious points really and a 0-0 is sometimes a result that keeps both sides reasonably happy.
Both these sides reached the UEFA Cup via the 3rd place in the Champions league group stages. Bremen lost all 3 away matches and Rangers failed to score in 2 of there 3 home games.
In the final 32 of the UEFA Cup Rangers drew the opening leg 0-0 at home before winning through on away goals and Bremen won there away leg 1-0 with a late winner in a 4-0 Agg win.
Basically, i looked at this game and my initial thought was 0-0 and would back it if i found a decent price. Totesport were as skinny as 6.0 on it, Where as Sportingbet offer us 10.0, Now thats a big difference on a 0-0 scoreline and Sportingbets bait has been nibbled at by me tonight.
