A competitive little event here ( hence the each way selection ), but one that can go to the Philip Hobbs trained Minella Tipperary. This son of Saddlers Hall has had a perfectly respectable first season over the larger obstacles, with a win first time out over the decent yardstick Marcus. He then tipped up in a grade 2 event when going well at Cheltenham. Placed efforts the last twice could be portrayed as a little disappointing after that effort, but this isn't that hot a race and he could easily take a hand here after being given a good break of nearly 2 months. Richard Johnson pilots the horse after missing out last time, and it is interesting that Hobbs has nominated 2 races at the festival for this one and in itself that is a tip for todays race.
