Croatian Cup, QuarterFinals, 1st leg

Dinamo has 11 pts difference in domestic championship, Slaven is 16 pts behind and still has chance for UEFA Cup place. Therefor i don't think that both clubs have same motivation for this match. Slaven can do a lot in league, while Dinamo already secured first place (or it at least looks so). There is quality difference between this two, and only question is motivation. I don't think Dinamo will have problems with it...

Since winter break, in Croatian 1.HNL we saw only one round, in that round Dinamo lost at home to Varteks 1:2, while Slaven lost at Zadar 0:1. It's Dinamo's third defeat this season and i think that they can't afford to slip another, especially as they lost in last match of autumn part to Slaven 2:5, one of the biggest defeats in domestic championship in recent years. Since that Slaven win, a lot changed. Dinamo changed coach, Modric is still in team (not for long) and Dinamo has almost all players ready and fit, strikers Sokota and Vugrinec and left back Cale won't be ready, but it's not a big blow. With Slaven it's a bit different story as they lost their best attacker Vrucina and captain and important defender Radeljic in winter transfer window. It's a big blow and it was already obvious against Zadar.

In this match i can see motivated Dinamo, not only as they lost opening match against Varteks and now have to "make up" to the fans, but also to revenge humiliating 2:5 loss from last year. It will be hard match, and probably not good for watching as most of Croatian games are. Dinamo posses quality to win, motivation is high, but i can't forget that there is also another match in Zagreb. Odds in some other circumstances would be 1.80-2.00 and just because recent slump they are so high. Nothing to bet high, but medium stake is worth of risk...
