NHL - Nashville Predators vs Edmonton Oilers Hockey betting preview

This is my first pick on this site and I hope it will prove to be a winner!

I find this game a real value bet with considerably good odds on what potentially should be an easy win for Nashville (fantastic offensive & aggresive team)!

I'll start with Nashville, they won six of its last eight at the Sommet Center, and boast one of the NHL's best home records in the NHL at 19-9-3. Only second to 'Mighty' Detroit who have 21 wins on home ice. Beating Oilers tonight can only help Predators in their quest for top spot in Central Division. Although it's worth mentioning that Detroit are top with 89 points to date followed by Nashville with 69 points, huge gap of 20 points between the teams!

Tonight Predators start with a three game home-stand. Nashville I would say were unlucky (considering Wild scored with 4.4 secs left in overtime) to loose against determined Minnesota 5-4, taking them into over time wasn't enough. Nashville have won six straight against Oilers. Winning last two by 3 goal margin, 5 - 2 (played on home ice) and 4-1!

Leading scorer J. Arnott will be hoping to add to his seven goals and 10 assists in 20 games against Oilers. After missing last two games with flu J.P. Dumont should start tonight on the right wing. I really hope that Dan Elis will start in goal for Predators who is 4-0-1 with a 1.87 GAA in his last six appearances. Chris Mason lost 3 out of last 4 starts and after tiring game against Wild he deserves a rest!

Nashville are 2-1-0 on home ice out of last 3.

Now Oilers. Last in Northwest Division with 59 points and are 12-4-4 away from home. I think inconsistency that's were Oilers problem is! They do have some great results to show but also they have been outplayed by a number of teams too. Their main threat would come from the likes of Hemsky & Horcoff. With latter one on injured list together with Sheldon Souray, (they are out for the whole season), Oilers will always struggle. With these key players out responsibility will be passed on to Kyle Brodziak who in my opinion is not experinced enough to win battles against very physical Nashville side. What Oilers will be concerened about here tonight is to get puck out of their zone let alone try to score! Don't forget Nashville are a very good passing team too.

Oilers lost 2 out of last 3 away from home.

All in all we've got inconsistent, young Oilers team Vs solid, very physical, aggressive, good passing Nashville side who can keep the puck and frustrate the opposition all night long!

Pretty confident on this one and believe that this game will be over in regular time, i.e. 60 min. Bet on Nashville, good luck!
