The much expected Champions League action is back again, and I'll have no hesitation when I back Roma in this first leg, when they host Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

The Romans have been impressive in their domestic championship this year, despite Inter's domination, they've been playing fantastic football, and it's been seen in CL too playing some very good matches.

The Spaniards smell like champions of Spain this season, but I'm not so sure they should really be there, I think they took to their advantage Barca's and Sevilla's wavering somehow, also were a bit fortunate several times, hence I think they are not so good as it seems, and do have their problems themeselves.

I remember their CL clash from the group stage when they have played Lazio, and Real were offered -0.5 whilst in reality it's been an even game with good chances for both sides. Lazio used to be in better shape then, even though Roma should have more fire, and more chances to beat the Spaniards after all. Also note that Robinho (k) and Sneijder (k) are ruled out for the clash

One more thing that backs my pick, I'm not sure what were they thinking when they came with this handicap, but that's an International match, so the home ground means a lot more, and the Romans have the edge in this case.
