Premiership - Arsenal vs Blackburn Football betting preview

After yesterday’s fantastic performance by Manchester City Arsenal now have the chance to increase their lead at the top of the table to 5 points. I was thinking of backing Arsenal to win on a -1.5 handicap but decided to back the over instead. One of the reasons is that both teams will not be at full strength and will have some important missings . Christopher Samba, David Dunn and Morten Gamst Pedersen all serve their respective bans. Andre Ooijer, Steven Reid (knee) Ryan Nelsen are unlikely to play because of injuries. Arsenal have some problems too. Manuel Almunia has been sick recently he might be replaced by Lehmann once again. Philippe Senderos got injured during the game against England and is unlikely to play. So we might see either Kolo Toure or Gilberto Silva with William Gallas in the defence. Now Toure didn’t play on Saturday for Ivory Coast but his performance against Egypt has been really poor, he was responsible for two goals scored by Egypt. And Gilberto’s form this season has been very poor. Arsenal’s midfield will be without Diaby and Rosicky. Both teams have some problems at the back, both teams have great strikers. Arsenal have Adebayor and Eduardo and Blackburn tonight will probably field McCarthy alongside Santa Cruz. For some reason I can see Blackburn scoring today and that's what might just be needed for this bet to be profitable. Bet365 offers both teams to score at 2.00 so it could be a nice alternative to the over, should it end 1-1 for example. But I doubt it. With the form that Arsenal are in it could end 2-1 or 3-0. I’m taking the over here.
