The +9.5 might be a good bet in a low scoring game (which this should be), but it'll be tough for the Hawks to pull this one out. Houston has won its last 9 or 10 at home. Good luck though. The NBA is definitely unpredictable. | |

I know Atlanta is not the best team out there however Atlanta has beaten some of the very best teams in this league this season , they have beaten Dallas , Phoenix , Utah , The Lakers , not to mention the last time Atlanta faced Houston they won. Atlanta is a much better team than most people give them credit for .
Atlanta's guard Josh Childress is shooting a very high 58.1 shooting percentage , Joe Johnson is averageing 21 points and put up 31 points against the Rockets in their last matchup , Josh Smith is another excellent talent for Atlanta averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds.
The Rockets are on a winning streak however that is no reason why the Hawks cant pull an upset and win this one. The Rockets are extremely reliant on Yao Ming whenever Yao is having an off night or just doesnt bring his usual energy the Rockets lose. Atlanta on the other hand has many players that can both shoot and rebound.
Please dont comment saying this is a poor pick ... I understand it would be a big upset for the Hawks to beat the Rockets however I am confident that the Hawks matchup well against the Rockets and do have a good chance of winning this one. If you dont want to wager on the Hawks to win , I suggest going with the spread of Hawks +9.
