Chelsea is playing not bad at this time. They conceeded a draw on the last match against a powerfull Portsmouth that bought a lot of new and good players such as Diarra, Defoe, etc.

Chelsea missed Ricardo Carvalho in that match, i think that was one of the poor missings for Chelsea.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard (thigh) may return and centre-back Ricardo Carvalho is back after a ban.

This two players are very important on the squad, specially Ricardo.

Andriy Shevchenko (back) and John Terry (foot) are again out, while Mikel John Obi should be available after Africa Cup of Nations duty.

So, Chelsea are bulding a strong team for this match and could take 3 points from a poor Liverpool

Liverpool will be without striker Fernando Torres (hamstring) along Andriy Voronin, Fabio Aurelio, Alvaro Arbeloa and Daniel Agger.

Xabi Alonso is suspended and Ryan Babel is a doubt with an ankle injury.

So, many many problems in Liverpool team.

I saw a lot of matches from Liverpool and specially the last game against Sunderland. This Liverpool is weak and are showing a lot of problems specially on the midfield.

Without Torres the team have only Kuit to replace and the midfield is also very poor without Aurelio and Arbeloa.

Gerrard is almost playing alone. Benitez will make some changes for sure.

Mascherano is a strong player and Benayoun could play on the first eleven.

Lucas that went from Gremio is a totally mess. He played very very bad against Sunderland and if he starts the match, is surely a target for Joe Cole and Chelsea.

At home Chelsea is very strong and they can´t forget that this 3 points are very important, beside Arsenal and ManUtd are playing at home.
