Rafa Benitez has been unlucky against Chelsea losing 3 out of 3 at Stamford Bridge and it does not look like Chelsea’s unbeaten run will stop at any time. Steven Gerrard has not been playing so well in recent weeks and after sweating his socks for England on Wednesday, I see it difficult for him to play to his full potential. In addition Mascherano had to go to USA to play a friendly against Guatemala, and that long flight going and coming should definitely tire him on the whole. The Liverpool defense that has looked weary in the last few weeks especially with Carragher playing on the wing, he is not as fit as before and Skrtel is still struggling to adjust to life at Anfield. Xabi Alonso is also suspended, so I think that the midfield will struggle against a 5 man Chelsea midfield.
Avram Grant has been marching on and continuing where Jose Mourinho started of. It’s surprising that even 6 months after he is gone, Avram is still compared to this guy and why not? He is doing exactly what Jose did, just get points on the board by any means necessary. Malouda, Joe Cole and Shaun Wright Phillips have definitely been the best players in the middle of the park for Chelsea and have even shown that international colors. Anelka has been scoring goals for fun recently, and I definitely thing he is going to go for more goals.
On the whole look of both teams, Chelsea looks really good on paper and look really good for this win as they did the hard job by playing away from home against Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool and now it’s time for the other 3 to come to Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea will be going for all wins to keep their chances of winning another Premiership title.
