Well, here we are, the very last game of the year. A part of me doesn't even care about this game as I'm still absolutely crushed about my Packers...but hey, why not make a little money on the last big bang of the year. This game seems weird to me, I feel like the Giants got lucky against the Packers...the Giants played a great game, but their entire offense was through Plaxico Burress. The Patriots will surely have an answer for him, so I don't see them scoring many points. The Patriots have many weapons and a balanced attack, however, I look for them to come out and try and establish the run and take the game by the throat here. They will use the run to open up the play action pass and a guy like Wes Welker will have the best game for the Patriots. Tom Brady will surely be the MVP of this game, however, don't be surprised if Welker sneaks up and takes that award. But in reality, the media will be going crazy every time Brady throws a great pass because of his supposed "injury"...you know what, knowing the Pats, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Brady wasn't even sore let alone hurt...and the Pats may be just playing a game with the media and the Giants. Moving on though...

Overall, this game just has the make up of a blowout I think...if you take Burress out of that Packer game, the Giants offense wouldn't have had half of the time on the ball that they had...the Patriots will do that, and they will control this game from the start...however, a garbage time TD may make this one close than 12 points...as that is a lot of points...I see better value in the O/U here. 53.5 points is a lot of points, especially when you consider the way these teams will prepare for eachother. The Giants know they have to run the ball well and Eli can't make any mistakes or they will get blown out. Well, they haven't ran the ball that well in the playoffs here, and Eli Manning is just absolutely due for a stinker of a game...if you ask me, the law of averages will prevail here...Brady will show up big, Welker will have a huge game, Randy Moss will get his normal numbers, probably 90-125 yards with a TD...Eli will throw 2 or 3 interceptions, and the Patriots will win by 10-20 points. However, the under here seems like the best value bet to me. Both teams will try and the run the ball, and if they don't, after they have wasted a quarter of football by trying to run it, they will start to pass it...well, when Eli is forced to pass the ball, he usually makes mistakes...not lately, he has been great...however, I don't like that to continue. I think the Pats win this one something like 31-17 or even 31-20...something like that...but I don't see them scoring over 53.5 points here. Go with the under, and watch them try and establish the run...this game should be under 53.5. That is my tip. Enjoy the game, and thanks to those who have read my previews the entire season...sorry we didn't finish it the way we would have hoped to...I'm just as sad as you for that...but again, thanks everyone for reading and good luck w/ the final game!! It may just be a surprisingly good game! We'll see, I'm tipping the under.
