Let the victory slip when they allowed Atlante to draw in the last minute of the match with a header of FW Giancarlo Maldonado. Previously Jaguares has been able to recover from an early goal of Atlante when FW Giancarlo Maldonado scored after a pass of MF Gabriel Pereyra. From there Jaguares took control of the match and with FW Aldolfo Bautista achieve the lead, as with two of his services, DF O. Razo and DF I. Fuentes where able to score, even had the victory of the match in his feet when he deliver a penalty kick, but send it to the center where Atlante GK Federico Villar stopped it, and in the next shoot it was the own FW Bautista which stopped the ball from getting inside the rival net. So in the end Jaguares took a point from Cancun when they could have taken three. Remarks that in this match GK O. Ortiz was not in the starting GK and it was GK C. Velazquez. But in overall he make a fair performance.

FW I. Baptista who arrive in recent days, has stated that he feels ready to start playing with Jaguares as soon as the coach decides, and altought being at 70% he was bring to score goals and would be pleased to score his first goal to America. Open the tournament against Puebla, the team came with great expectations after having won Interliga tournament against Cruz Azul in penalty serie, which granted them a direct ticket for Libertadores Cup. But in this match the team showed exactly the oppositve side they had previosly showed as they wheren't able to provide a good match and where clearly inferior to Puebla, which has showed they will put a fierce stand in the relegation race.

America has a lot to thank to his main GK Guillermo Ochoa as he was the main start in this match where he stopped many headers and shoots to keep the 0 in his net. Even the referees seems to be on their side, when referee Jose A. Peñaloza didn't mark as penalty a foul that clearly was it. Even if that wasn't enough America was able in the feet of FW Richard Nuñez to blow the best chance of the whole match when in a one-on-one situacion with Puebla GK Villalpando send the ball straight to him.
