New season. New hopes. New ambitions for beautiful Sharapova. After real hard for her 2007 season, it's time to move on, again train hard, realest from injury chains and show the world who is the real fire on court. In this bet my analysis and heart is telling me that Russian finally will win with Justine Henin nearly over 2 years from last time she do so (US Open final). I watched 2 of 3 matches Henin and all matches of Sharapova, I know them well, Henin is queen of courts for now and Maria is one of my favorite players in WTA. I think today it will be non-official this AO final. These ladies definitely are in highest form from all. Sharapova as always or even more is determinate and hungry for success, but now she is injury free, and she increased much a lot of her game aspects. Increased enough to totally dominate players like Davenport or Dementieva. She was in final here in last year where all season problems started (sad final with Serena Williams), so now for warrior Russian girl it's a very specific tour. Henin keep incredible high performance for whole year, she won almost all important tours. But as I see now on court she look a little bit tired, or maybe bored. After 2007/2008 season break she don't look to posses enough power to stand against Sharapova anger, like she do in Shanghai Masters where it was very equal match. In my opinion Maria is even better now than she was in Masters final, it was only small rain before the real storm and I hope Maria will show the storm with winning this Australian Open. Still chances for me are like 55/45 for Maria, because Henin is Henin, cyborg created to play tennis, and Sharapova always could have a weaker day. Now she present very fast court running, strong serve that was so missing in last season and that illusive determination that struggles the court and opponent. Henin? Without problems in this tour, but still result in set with Schavione or Pouchtek 7:5 gives me to think a lot. Her serve is a little bit weaker than it was in last year and I don't know how to describe it, but she looks just not enough focused on court. Of course such great player always can increase game level with only clapping her hands but I hope she won't do so, and Maria after wonderful match will change h2h stat to 6:3 for Henin. The situation is simpe, this will be a tremendous match, in my opinion in Sony Erickson final it was very equal and Maria needed only a little bit better form to beat Henin, now she present even better and if she will catch Henin on weaker day, she will easily dominate, because she was made to dominate on court.
