Here it is, the one I've been waiting for...today is a game I am nearly shaking out of my chair for I am so excited for this game. Again, I am a huge Packer fan, last week I tipped against my boys here, even though I did not bet on the game as I told you I did not. This game, I'm going to go with my boys. They are playing out of this world football right now, and should have the talent and coaching to run these Giants right back to NY where they came from.
The Packer Legend Brett Favre is one step away from yet another Super Bowl, while the Giants -- who have won nine straight games on the road -- are peaking at precisely the right time. They have won a few very impressive games, and even watching the game last week against the Cowboys I didn't think they would win it....but a few questions remain: Can Eli Manning continue to play with the consistency he's exhibited to this point in the playoffs? In this weather, against this defense, I say no. How will the Giants D coordinator Spagnuolo match up with Green Bay's spread offense? I think not very well, with the explosion of Ryan Grant, there is just too much talent on the Packer side of the ball.
Both teams are playing with a tremendous amount of confidence and both are executing remarkably well on offense. Don't be surprised if the outcome hinges on special-teams play in what likely will be frigid weather conditions Sunday night in Green Bay. This has all the makings of a classic NFC Championship Game, with Favre turning another page in an amazing, storybook season. I personally think he and the Packers will find a way to win a tough, physical game at Lambeau Field to punch their ticket to Glendale, Ariz., and Super Bowl XLII. And wow, just watching myself type that makes me want to go work some more...because I'll be buying my ticket for that game soon!! Go Packers, and I'm taking them here because they simply just have too much talent for the Giants to come in and win and to defeat this Green Bay crowd as well. Too much for the Giants, and the Packers win this one by 10 or so. 27-17 would be my guess. Packers -7.5.
