NHL - Chicago Blackhawks vs Minnesota Wild Hockey betting preview

Hey everyone...you are all used to seeing me tip in the NFL...well, I have been tipping other sports as well, and with the NFL season winding down...I have to take my gambling to different sports. The Blackhawks look to avoid an eighth straight loss, while trying for their first victory over the Wild in more than two years when the teams meet Friday night at the United Center. For the second consecutive season, the Blackhawks (19-20-4) have struggled in the month of January. Chicago went 2-8-2 in January 2007, which included a season-high, 10-game losing streak from Jan. 4-26. After a solid first half to 2007-08, injuries to key players like rookie Jonathan Toews, Jason Williams and Brent Sopel have taken a toll on Chicago. The Blackhawks lost 3-1 at home to Dallas on Wednesday -- their seventh straight loss overall -- to fall to 0-5-1 this month. Also...Chicago has lost its last three games to Minnesota at the United Center.

Overall, as you can see...the Wild have been beating Chicago head to head for a while now, and the fact that Chicago hasn't beaten anyone in general let alone the Wild or not is rather entertaining as well. I like the streak to continue tonight as the Wild get another good victory coming off of a strong win at Detroit yesterday. They are full of confidence and are liking their chances tonight to pull of the victory in Chicago against a weak Blackhawk team. Well, I'll be backing them tonight also, take the Wild to win here.
