Cruz Azul is suffering with the departures they had on the offensive are as FW Jared Borguetti (Monterrey), MF Richard Nuñez (America) & possibly FW Cesar Delgado (O. Lyon).But lets not forget Cruz Azul have important youth players as FW C. Villaluz which has seen more playtime with coach Markarian and sideline Richard Nuñez and also MF Edgar Andrade which has return some time ago from a long injury.

Lost against Pumas UNAM, which is playing with reserves and youth players. The team debut Robert de Pinho in his return from european experience to mexico football, but was unable to do anything as they hardly accomplished attak opportunities, with just four (4) important attacks plays. Which shows lack of understading between their lines.

Is to remark that Fw Humberto Suazo will not leave the team after talks about this and after playing just '24 minutes when he substitute J. Arellano last match is expected to start in this one. Which sends FW Jared Borguetti to the bench. And now a powerful attack is form with FW Humberto Suazo & FW Robert de Pinho with a strong middlefield with MF W. Erviti and MF L. Perez, MF J. Arellano and MF J. L. Gonzalez, which in paper looks very promising, but still is lacking the understaing between them with the recent arrivals of FW Robert de Pinho & MF J.L. Gonzalez.

Monterrey doesn't face a joint team as San Luis which posses many time playing together but a youthful, skillfull and willing team to which they where unable to score. And this is the reason that puts more doubts to them.

Match:

Tight match with more opportunities of scoring from Cruz Azul that after an experiment on the net returns their main GK Oscar Perez but some other experiment on the attack due to suspensions but I expect it to went better as C. Villaluz is such a good player. For monterrey a lot to show and more of that to find understanding between lines.

Prediction:

Cruz Azul holds a better defense than Monterrey and against a solid defense where able to create scoring chances, something that Monterrey struggle against Pumas UNAM and will make it their main task for this match. So I sense that Cruz Azul will push forwards with their reinforces and accomplish something to mantain with qualification chances.
