Tennis season has started and the best pick for me today here in Doha is Wawrinka to win Ljubicic. Ljubicic is far from his best form, although he started good here in Doha, where he defends his title from last year. At first he won Koubek, then he qualified in to the next round over sick Tipsarevic and yesterday he won Kohlschreiber. Although result may not reflect it, but Ljubo struggled pretty much to overcome Kohli, who made too much unforced errors at the crucial time. Ljubo's serve isn't like the old one, altough it is not so easy to break. His backhand is pretty solid, while his forehand is way to passive, and he could in deep troubles today against the Wawrinka, who has a very good forehand winner. Wawrinka qualified to the semis by beating Martin, C. Rochus and Calleri in straight sets. Wawrinka improved a lot on hard surface, he proved it with some good results in the end of the last season. OK, h2h totally favours Ljubicic, but I don't consider this stat so very important, because Ljubo made all his wins over Wawrinka when he was in much better form. Odds for the Swiss are very good, much that I expected, so I consider this bet worth taking, but of course with normal stakes because it's just the beginning of the season.
