Chelsea host Newcastle.

As everyone knows Chelsea is a great defensive team and they pride themselves on cleansheets. They are undefeated at Stamford in something like 72 games.

While they are such a great defensive unit, this is based on three key players, Terry, Carvalho and Cech. For tonights game Terry and Carvalho are out while Cech will be playing but looks unfit and not full recovered from his injury. The side struggles without these key players, and a perfect example is the midweek game where they conceded 4 goals at home to Aston Villa.. Something you would have thought unheard of.. But this just shows the difference these players make to the structure.

Newcastle are similar to Tottenham as they try to outscore opponents. They have great strikers and they use them as best they can, while their defense is a shambles.

Shevchenko is looking alright at the moment, and with Joe Cole fit they should do some damage on Newcastle's week defense, while Alex and Ben Haim will struggle to hold up the attacking presence of Viduka, Smith and Martins.
