NBL Basketball - Wollongong Hawks vs Townsville Crocs Basketball betting preview

Not often do i risk 10 Units on a bet, but tis time i will, and with a raised Handicap too.

The lines started out at -3 yesterday, and this morning they are up to -6. There is a reason to this. I choose to raise the Handi along with the odds at Bet365, where you can chose your own handicap.

Wollongogn Hawks is free falling in the league. They stand on the edge of getting cut from the league due to financial reasons, but i dont think this will happen. Their season have been struck by injurys, and bad imports. Both James Peters (14ppg & 7rpg) and Angelo Reyes (14ppg & 8rpg) have been cut from the team, important Lindsay Tait (12.3ppg) got injured early on and will miss out the rest of the season. And as that is not enuff, during x-mas, back-up guard John Philip (4.9ppg & 2.3rpg) got himself injured in an eye, and got stitched up and will miss the game. AND during the final minute of the last training, team superstar, Kavossy Franklin (22.1ppg & 5.5rpg) twisted his knee, and is most likley to miss the game. Kavossy is the player that get by far the most gametime in the league. Average above 43 minutes per game he will be a huuuge blow for the Hawks.

Townsville is in the hunt for playoffs, and depend on a win here today to keep the distance, having played a couple of more games than the other teams. Rookie Corey Williams (21.4ppg & 5.1rpg), nicknamed 'Homicide' is in a good form, and i think he will have a night to remember if Kavossy is out, then there is no one to stop him.
