Premiership - Arsenal vs Tottenham Football betting preview

It’s the London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham on Saturday. I’m sure that it’ll be an interesting game to watch but I can see only one side winning it and that’s Arsenal.

Arsenal are first in the table with a 22 point advantage over 12th Tottenham. After seventeen games this is a HUGE advantage. It’s true that Arsenal’s recent performances in the league haven’t been of highest standard, whereas Tottenham is playing better under Juande Ramos but it’s not going to be enough to stop Arsenal in this game. Arsenal will be only without Theo Walcott, all other players are in contention and we need to remember that in the Carling Cup game in midweek Arsenal’s younger players got the chance to shine so the Arsenal players will be well rested. Also Arsenal have two very tough away games next week against Portsmouth and Everton so they will want to make sure they win this one and not put themselves under any unnecessary pressure. Tottenham have fielded a very strong team which has defeated Manchester City on Tuesday so they should be full of confidence but with Zokora’s sending off on Tuesday they have lost another player. However Robbie Keane returns from suspension.

I believe that Arsenal’s passing style will prevail tomorrow. Not many teams can cope with it and I don’t see Tottenham being able to stop Arsenal from scoring at least twice. What is worth mentioning is that Arsenal have beaten Tottenham at White Hart Lane 3-1 earlier this season and we can have a similar scoreline now so the -1 handicap looks really tempting. But as Tottenham are able to score with the likes of Berbatov or Keane I will go for the -1 asian handicap. In that way we will be safe should Arsenal win by only one goal .
