It's definitely a relatively bad season for Reading so far despite sitting in the 13th spot in the EPL table. Things are not the same as they have been two years ago when they won the Coca Cola championship or even as last year where Madejski stadium used to be something you'd fear playing in. It's gonna be tough for them when they host Liverpool on Saturday.

Here are my reasons for this pick:

First of all, it's reading's defence. They are the second worst defence in the whole EPL. Only bottom placed Derby is worse. They have conceded 32 goals so far in 15 matches with an average of 2.1 goals per match. On the other hand, Liverpool are the strongest defence in the EPL only conceding 6!

Second, Liverpool have laready beaten Reading in Carling Cup earlier this season 4-2 thanks to a hat trick scored by Torres. Although some might argue that this could be an inspiration but I see it to add confidence to the reds.

Finally, Liverpool have been improving since their impressive result against Besiktas in the CL. They have beaten Fulham, Newcastle, and Bolton in the EPL since then scoring 9 goals and conceding none. With their current fire power, I expect no less than a couple of goals here.

Verdict: Liverpool should win this even though they have a big match against Marseille in midweek.
