Last year in December I wrote who would have become Top Scorer in Serie A. Totti were not at the top of the table yet but it was very clear to me that he would have soon scored many goals.

This year we have Trezeguet at first place with 11 goals, already 4 goals more than Ibrahimovic, Kaká and Totti and 5 more than Mutu, Cruz and his team mate Vincenzo Iaquinta.

Probably it will all remain like this until the end of the season. Trezeguet said many times this season that he never felt as fit as this year, he scores and, above all, he "wants" to score and help Juventus reaching their hold top positions of the past.

Since Domenech decided not to call Trezeguet for the national team's games Trezeguet is even more keen to do his best with Juventus. He plays with Juventus since year 2000 with 236 appearances and an IMPRESSIVE number of goals scored: 175. He won only one the title of Serie A Top Scorer in the season 2001-2002 together with Hubner by scoring 21 goals. Coach Ranieri has only 2 sure players in every line-up: Gianluigi Buffon (best goalkeeper in the world) and David Trezeguet (best striker in the world). Even Del Piero, Iaquinta, Camoranesi and Nedved must start from the bench sometimes while Trezeguet is "untouchable".

Let's have a look at his rivals now. Kaká is playing well but Milan are already 11 points behind Inter and will probably have only one target, the main one (Champions League). Because of this, Ancelotti will often chose to give Kaká a rest. Milan will also play the World Cup in Japan. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the one who will stay very close to Trezeguet until the end of the season but he as well will have to rest sometimes and concentrate on the Champions League and Sweden. Francesco Totti will surely try to repete his last year's performances but in the last weeks he had a little injury that showed that he decided not to risk. Everytime he will have a little problem he will prefer to wait rather than playing.

I usually dont bet on low odds but I am very confident in this long time bet. King David will win this title. I know, he prefers a team title (Scudetto) rather than a personal one (Top Scorer) but nobody said he can not win both.
