Perhaps people may well look at this and think that this is slightly strange seeming as Man City are really in fantastic form of late, but for me, there is some huge value here in taking a home wn for Wigan.

First of all it's not their Away form that has got them into this position, they have not won on the road since the opening day victory over the Hammers and despite a recent away point at Portsmouth They have not really showed many signs of gaining another victory away from Eastlands and their are a few factors here for me in this game that really do just make me fancy this Wigan side just that bit more. Firstly for Man City, Elano is out. This is a massive blow for them. He's the creature of alot of their play and will be a huge miss in the middle of the park. He's the centre of all of thie play and has been a massive part of all that they have achieve so far this season.

Secondly, Emile Heskey returns here for Wigan. He's truely MASSIVE to them and that has been proved of late as since he has been out injured, Wigan have been hopeless. He is able to hold the ball up well for them and im in no doubt hat he will do the same again on Saturday and should win his fair share in the air up against Dunne and Richards. Also one thing to look at is that their midfield is likely to contain some battlers in Brome, Landzaat and Scharner which they will defiently need in their relagation battle.

Lastly, lets not under-estimate the effect that a new manager can have on a team. WE all know that it CAN bring the best out of players and i see on reason for it not to on Saturday.
