NHL - Atlanta Thrashers vs New Jersey Devils Hockey betting preview

Ok.My favourite bet for today NHL games, as well playing Thrash takes on firm Devils in the Blueland, Atlanta.

Thrasher are 11-10-0 and are playing some serious hockey lately.Looking just at the last 5 games,Atlanta has won four with last night win of 5:1 over suffering Capitals.The main success of the team comes from the two main stars, Kovalchuk and Hossa.These two have been red hot and are making a big difference for the outcomes of the matches.Especially Hossa is playing supreme lately (after a slow start) and has big 13 points in the last 6 matches.Kovalchulk at the same time, leads NHL with 19 goals,and ATL with 33 points.

Devils (9-10-2) won 3 of last five, with last one coming over Penguines 2:1 in Pittsburgh.They play (as usual) on the defensive magic of goalie Brodeur and constant defensive pressure.They still need to improve on their consistency, but should move up the table within couple of months.

The bet is very simple here.Atlanta is very strong in the second part of hockey game.They never give up and play very aggressive especially in the third period.They regularly score in the 3rd but also concede.In their last 10 games, 7 times third period ended with over 1,5.In the case of the Devils, 6 of their last 10 games went over 1,5 in the third.

These two usually play very fast games with many chances and many goals.But back to the 3rd period,last 5 games between the two teams ended with 3rd period going over 1,5.

IMO, nice game for the fans,over 5.5 is possible and some fireworks in the third. I am giving 60 percent to the Thrashers.
