Panathinaikos did well to win away to Copenhagen 0-1 midweek and to comeback at second place in the Greek Superleague breathing heavily just 2 points behind leaders AEK. This is a hot hot hot Athens derby and normally I would not give a damn about betting on it, but the bookies surprised myself by not offering a level ball (0:0) handicap for this one. Instead they prefered -1/4, +1/4 which is outrageous IMO.

AEK is the only team that scored on all of their games. AEK has not conceded a single goal up to 7th fixture where they got 2 and lost for the first time this season. They have managed to win at difficult venues like Panionios and Xanthi where it is higly unlikely for Panathinaikos to win. I just wanted a bit more respect for AEK who won 1-3 last year's corresponding fixture (although not played on the current venue).

Concluding I would like to say again that normally I do not bet on derbies. Not to mention when my team plays in them! I will make an exception this time as I see some value on the away +1/4 AH. Attractive odds for this match will be PAO 2.55 - 3.05 - 2.85. Instead bookies have slammed down PAO to 2.1, unacceptable IMO. Small stakes, good confidence though knowing that Rivaldo, Lyberopoulos will be in this. No intention of underestimating PAO and may their fans please excuse me but as I said I wouldn't take the bet if 0:0 AH was on the table. GL to both teams and may the best one win this.
